COMBb2's Image Resizer lets you set exact output dimensions by pixels, percentage, or choose from 15+ social media presets for Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and more. High-quality Lanczos downscaling preserves detail during reduction, while upscaling uses intelligent interpolation. All processing happens privately in your browser.

Common Use Cases

  • Social media optimization
Resize to exact dimensions for Instagram posts, stories, Facebook covers, X headers, and YouTube thumbnails.
  • Web thumbnails
Create consistent thumbnail sizes for blogs, galleries, and e-commerce sites.
  • Email-friendly sizes
Reduce image dimensions to prevent oversized email attachments.
  • Print preparation
Set exact pixel dimensions for specific print sizes and DPI requirements.
  • Consistent sizing
Standardize a set of images to the same dimensions for websites or presentations.

How It Works

The resizer uses Lanczos resampling (also known as sinc interpolation) for downscaling, which preserves sharpness and avoids the blurriness of simple bilinear interpolation. For upscaling, it uses high-quality interpolation. Social media presets include the latest recommended dimensions for each platform.

Why Privacy Matters Here

Brand assets, marketing materials, and client photos often need resizing before distribution. Cloud resizing services process your images on their servers. COMBb2 resizes everything locally - your brand images, product photos, and confidential materials never leave your device.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which social media presets are available?+
Presets include Instagram Post (1080x1080), Instagram Story (1080x1920), Facebook Cover (851x315), X/Twitter Header (1500x500), LinkedIn Banner (1584x396), YouTube Thumbnail (1280x720), Pinterest Pin (1000x1500), and more. All presets use the latest recommended dimensions.
Does resizing reduce image quality?+
Downscaling (making smaller) preserves quality well, especially with Lanczos resampling. Upscaling (making larger) always involves some interpolation. For significant upscaling, use the Upscale tool which uses AI super-resolution for much better results.
Can I maintain aspect ratio?+
Yes. The aspect ratio lock is on by default. When locked, changing width automatically adjusts height proportionally, and vice versa. Unlock it if you need to crop or stretch to specific dimensions.
What's the maximum output size?+
Output size is limited by your browser's canvas capabilities, typically ~32,000 pixels per side. For most practical purposes, there is no meaningful limit.
Are my images uploaded?+
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Your images never leave your device.
