COMBb2's Photo Enhancer rescues underexposed and low-light photos using AI-powered exposure recovery. It intelligently brightens shadows, recovers hidden details, and balances exposure without blowing out highlights. Perfect for photos taken indoors, at night, or in challenging lighting conditions - all processed privately in your browser.

Common Use Cases

  • Underexposed photos
Recover detail from photos that are too dark due to incorrect exposure settings.
  • Indoor and low-light shots
Brighten photos taken in dim restaurants, museums, or indoor events.
  • Nighttime photography
Reveal hidden details in photos taken at dusk or at night.
  • Backlit subjects
Balance exposure when the subject is silhouetted against a bright background.
  • Old or faded photos
Restore brightness and contrast to scanned vintage photographs.

How It Works

The enhancer analyzes the tonal distribution of your image and applies adaptive exposure correction. It uses AI to selectively brighten dark areas while preserving already-well-exposed regions, preventing the washed-out look of simple brightness adjustment. Highlights are protected from clipping.

Why Privacy Matters Here

Personal photos from private events, family gatherings, and intimate moments are often taken in low light. Cloud enhancement services require uploading these memories to third-party servers. COMBb2 enhances your photos entirely on your device - nothing is uploaded or stored remotely.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from just increasing brightness?+
Simple brightness adjustment lifts all pixels equally, often washing out highlights. The AI enhancer selectively targets dark regions while preserving highlights, producing more natural results with better detail retention.
Will it fix extremely dark (nearly black) photos?+
The enhancer can recover a surprising amount of detail from dark photos. However, if the original exposure captured almost no light, there may be limited usable data to recover. Very dark photos may also reveal significant noise when brightened.
Can I adjust the enhancement strength?+
The tool applies intelligent auto-enhancement. For finer control over brightness, contrast, and other parameters, use the Adjust tool, which provides individual sliders for each setting.
Should I enhance before or after denoising?+
Denoise first, then enhance. Brightening a noisy image amplifies the noise. The recommended order is: denoise → enhance → sharpen.
Are my photos uploaded for processing?+
No. Enhancement runs entirely in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.
